E-Waste

There is a disposal ban on a host of electronic devices, which is covered in the final provision of the Pennsylvania Covered Device Recycling Act, signed into law in 2010. As mandated by the CDRA, it is illegal for desktop computers, laptop computers, computer monitors, computer peripherals such as printers, keyboards, and mouses, tablets like iPads and Kindles, and televisions with viewable screens larger than four inches to be disposed of in state landfills. All of that “e-waste” must be recycled instead.

Easttown has partnered with Curb My Clutter to assist residents with electronics disposal. For more information on how to use this program, please click here.

In addition, Easttown continually partners with Tredyffrin Township to host E-Force Recycling Events at Wilson Farm Park in Wayne. The next event will take place on Saturday, November 02, 2019. For more information, please click here.
