PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of Supervisors of Tredyffrin Township, Chester County, has prepared a “Special Study” to the “Act 537 Plan Revision for Valley Creek Trunk Sewer (VCTS)” serving Charlestown Township, Easttown Township, East Whiteland Township, Malvern Borough, Tredyffrin Township, Willistown Township and the Valley Forge Sewer Authority. The ACT 537 Plan Revision was previously approved by the VCTS member municipalities and recently by the Pennsylvania DEP. In the course of proceeding with the design for Phase 1 detailed surveys of sewer lines, stream locations, and required improvements and updated costs were performed which lead to the recommendations for certain changes to proposed ACT 537 Plan Revision improvements that are outlined in the “Special Study” dated January 2012.
The following updates and changes to Phase 1 of the ACT 537 Plan Revision are recommended in the “Special Study”:
The updated estimated costs for Phase 1 VCTS upgrades with the above changes are less than the updated costs of the Phase 1 upgrades as outlined in the ACT 537 Plan Revision. Phase 1 upgrades and the above changes only affect the municipalities of Easttown, Willistown, and Tredyffrin Townships. Other than those changes listed above and detailed in the “Special Study”, all other recommended upgrades to VCTS System as outlined in the ACT 537 Plan Revision remain unchanged and in effect.
Upon publication of this notice, a 30-day review and comment period is in effect. Copies of the “Special Study” are available for review at the respective Township building during normal business hours or on the respective website.
