Township Tax Information for 2022

Easttown Township real estate taxes are collected by the Chester County Treasurer.

Tax bills are mailed the week of February 1st to the property owner’s address of record. For questions, call the office of the Treasurer of Chester County at 610-344-6370, fax to 610-344-6359, go to website or send an email

To Correct or Change your Address:

Please check the address on your tax bill. These bills are printed with the address on record with the Chester County Assessment Office. If your address is incorrect, you are the only one authorized to correct it by sending a letter to:

Tax Certification Request Form  (Trash & Sewer Certifications will continue to be handled by the Township)


To request a Tax Certification, submit a completed form in person at the office, click here, or send via postal mail with a check or money order made out to the Treasurer of Chester County. You must include a return envelope with postage along with your request.

Certification requests that are sent via overnight (UPS/FEDEX) are processed the day they are received and mailed that same day.


Real Estate Tax General Information


The Chester County Assessment Department assesses properties for real estate tax purposes, including for the Township, School District & County. Easttown Township's tax rate in 2020 was 4.134 mills. Mills are the amount each property is taxed per $1,000 valuation. For example, a property with an assessed value of $100,000 would pay $100,000 x .004134 = $413.40.
