Street Tree Planting Program

  1. Easttown Township is pleased to announce the second year of its Street Tree Planting initiative.  Last fall, 17 native trees were planted on various properties along Bridge, Berwyn and Main Avenues.  These trees are springing to life as the weather gets warmer and the days longer.  The Township's 2024 budget included funding for the installation of 20 native street trees, again focusing on the Old Berwyn Village.

All trees selected for the program are native to this region and appropriate for the characteristics of each property.  The trees will generally be 2-2.5" in diameter at the time of installation.  Participating property owners will be responsible for maintaining their trees, including pruning and watering.

The benefits of trees are well documented - environmentally, aesthetically, and economically.   Street Trees have proven their worth by increasing home values, absorbing stormwater, providing shade and habitat for birds, and beautifying streets, which contributes to making Easttown an even better place to live, work, and visit.

Participation in the program is entirely voluntary.  If you are interested in either participating or learning more about the program, please fill out the form below, and someone will contact you with more information.
